NBA : OKC Thunder beat LA Lakers 106-90 to win series 4-1

The Oklahoma City Thunder beat Los Angeles 106-90 in Game 5 today  of the Western Conference semi-finals to eliminate the Lakers from the NBA playoffs.

Russell Westbrook scored 28 points, Kevin Durant added 25 points and 10 rebounds, and the two All-Stars powered the Thunder past the Lakers despite a 42 point haul by Kobe Bryant for a 106-90 win to wrap-up the series 4-1, in Game 5 of the West semifinals.

Oklahoma City will face the top-seeded San Antonio Spurs, the only team other than the Lakers or Dallas Mavericks to win the West in the past 13 years and currently riding an 18-game winning streak.

The Western Conference Finals series starts on Sunday in San Antonio.
