Pablo Zabaleta’s scored in the first half to give Manchester City the lead but it looked as if City had blown their chance after Djibril Cisse equalised three minutes into the second half then Jamie Mackie headered QPR into the lead on 66 minutes.
Joey Barton was then sent off for QPR, by the visitors held on into added time and the home fans were streaming out of the Etihad Stadium in disappointment before City turned it around.
In the second minute of injury time substitute Edin Dzeko power home a close-range header from a corner and just two minutes later Sergio Aguero weaved into the QPR penalty area and fired a shot past Paddy Kenny at the near post.
The final whistle blew 30 seconds later and Manchester City were champions on goal difference from Manchester United.
