Brazil 0-0 Portugal

Brazil and Portugal played out a tame goalless draw which saw both sides qualify for the last 16.

The situation ensured that this game failed to deliver on its promise with the draw a suitable result for both sides, and there was a lack of urgency on the pitch.

Unsurprisingly, Brazil were the more positive of the two sides but were only able to fashion a handful of chances, the best of which fell to striker Nilmar but was superbly saved by Portuguese goalkeeper Eduardo.

The draw means Brazil finish top of the group and will look forward to the second phase with confidence and sets up the possibility of a final between Brazil and Argentina - if both sides can progress that far.
